Salmon Fishing Hippa Island

With no shortage of wildlife and amazing scenery our first few weeks at Hippa Island have been very exciting.  With Orcas to Humpbacks there is no shortage on amazing action footage, get those cameras ready!

With calm winds and sunny days what better way to start the season with Chinook and Coho Salmon fighting our lines.   The crew and fellow guests have been amazed by such great numbers of Coho Salmon that have already arrived.  While double and triple headers are no strangers to our guests here at Charlotte Queen Adventures, it is always an exciting to see which one will be landed first!?

Fish on!

  1. Glad you got that picture of bubble-feeding humpbacks. When we were there on trip one we saw humpbacks bubble-feeding for hours on end. I’d only seen that a few times in the past but it went on for two whole days on that trip. Pretty spectacular, and proof that there’s plenty of bait around, too.

  2. Big thanks once again to Laura, Maddy, Rob and everyone at Charlotte Queen for another fantastic trip. It’s something I look forward to all year and always manage to have a great time.

Not only was the fishing great (as always) but the weather was good and seeing that many humback whales at one time was pretty special.

My friend Darrell, who was up for the first time, also had a blast and he loved the fact that on this fishing trip he didn’t have to clean, pack or cook the fish as we arrive back. Things will be a little different for him when he goes fishing at Bamfield next week.
