Salmon Fishing Hippa Island

Though the breezes of the Pacific remain prevalent, the fishing around Hippa is still fantastic!!

The Chinook salmon are abundant and seem to have a larger average than last season, with many in the 30 lb. range….and a bunch in the 40’s!!

The halibut fishing remains consistent, with the majority of kept fish in the 20-60 lb. range, with a few barn doors being wrassled in!

Jeff, Kevin Jr, Pat and Kevin Sr showing off a nice catch!

Great to see you John!! ….and some great days of fishing you and Rob enjoyed!!

Good to have Richard and Dave on board!!  A productive day of fishing gentlemen!

Mark and James had some great fishing!!

Lane and Mike were sure having some fun!!

Another successful outing at Hippa!!

Stay tuned!!

  1. Glad to hear that kind of attitude. With Ling Cod the bggeist fish are the Females and the bigger the fish the more eggs are produced. Also the bigger the fish the larger the eggs, and they also have a better chance of survival than eggs from smaller fish. This is also true of Salmon and most other fish.
